Psycho, made in 1960, was a run of the key horror movie. Looking at it now, it may seem very strange, but back then it was a first of its kind. This movie scared the crap out of the audience. A running theme that is presented to the audience in Psycho is the opposition that exists between good and evil. This is shown throughout the movie among the different characters. Examples can also be taken from conflicts within the characters. Certain conflicts and how the characters deal with them and each other are what shape the structure of the movie. The perception that the audience receives of the characters change throughout the movie by the different conflicts that arise. I thought that the string noises made an impact on my view of the movie. This was a very interesting and anxious noise that was happening during those scenes that keep you on your feet. I think that the camera angles in the scene when Norman is talking to the police is also very interesting, particularly the fact that there is always a bird in the shot with Norman. I also thought that is was very interesting how the murder scenes were both shot the same way. They would show only the knife and then a loud crunching sound as if the people were being stabbed. We would never see anyone actually being stabbed; we would only hear the noises. Fantastic film
